About Care Balonne Association Inc.
Care Balonne Association Inc. (Care Balonne) was established in 1994 and is primarily an information and referral service. Care Balonne services the whole of the Balonne Shire which covers and area of 31,119 square kilometres and has a population of 4,627 (source: Australian Bureau of Statistics).
The vision of Care Balonne is to be recognised as a progressive organisation that aspires to increase the viability of our community via having an awareness of the needs of our local community and developing strategies to meet these needs.
Care Balonne is fully funded by the Department of Communities for two services; Community Development Services and Rural Family Support Service. This funding allows for the employment of three full time staff members; Administration Officer, Community Development Worker and Family Support Worker.
With these programs, Care Balonne aims to identify and meet the needs within our community Care Balonne endevours to provide a safe meeting placefor individuals, groups and community organisations; provide community education and skills oppotunities; enhance individual and family wellbeing and provide information and support to the community.
